Sunroof too far back!

I test drove a few compact SUVs and found E-Pace and XC40 have sunroofs that open *behind* driver's head or near the front seat back, so for the front occupants opening the sunroof makes NO DIFFERENCE in terms of lighting or feeling more open. In comparison, the midsize F-Pace's sunroof opens *directly above* head /seat cushion and so does the compact Audi Q3. This could be a potential deal breaker for me.
