there has been a growing interest in CUV's and SUV's on Aussie soil so maybe this is a case of Jaguar wanting to position themselves better to get that competitive advantage? don't exactly know but hopefully we can get an aussie to touch on it, or an aussie publication.

I've actually read that Australia is not a fan of performance cars, so there's a lot of legislations against them. Even the Focus RS' drift mode had to be deactivated.

Probably why people are moving towards cars not considered sporty, like SUV and crossovers.

That's probably the larger public which is sad to see because I expected better of them. Too bad those people will out number the minority that's much like any dedicated gear head you will find in North America. But I guess if their economy improves with that we will see an increase in performance car sales, much like other improving areas of the world.

The E-Pace First Edition starts at a whopping $59,000 in Canada, but it does come with a set of satin grey-finish 20-inch twin-spoke alloy wheels and Windsor ebony leather interior. But that's a huge price bump for features that doesn't really improve the car's performance.

They shouldn't have a problem moving them and in the process could get some potential Porsche Macan/Cayenne owners. But overall I will be looking out for how it compares to those two, its what a lot of people will be looking out for

Those in Canada can expect to see the E-Pace appear in showrooms in early 2018 at $42,700 each. That's what Toronto star says in an interview with Norris McDonald.

Hopefully when they show up in showrooms there won't be any issues because being a new product often that is hard to avoid. In addition to that Jaguar doesn't have much of a track record with new vehicles on a mass scale.
Roughly converted, the E-Pace costs $45895.54 in Italy, which seems pretty expensive considering how much the States have to pay for an entry-level model. That one starts at $38,600.
The price of cars can drastically change from one country to the next based on local taxes, which maybe levied more against imports in an effort to support domestic production.
48.800 euro's in the Netherlands for the basic E-Pace
The truth is that although we are from the poorest countries in Europe we are the ones that have the most expensive cars
Ahhh yes, the diesel scandal from VW which seems to be affecting a lot of other manufacturers as well. It shouldn't affect E-Pace pricing, maybe the unit allocation of diesel units
Might be why Toyota has an aggressive hybrid strategy in place.
I'm in Canada and the most basic E-Pace starts at $42,700. I'm guessing Portugal tariffs are higher
