X-Tomi Design is back at it again and this time, brings to us a creation called the Jaguar E-Pace R-S which is meant to be a high performance variant of the E-Pace.

Different bumpers, skirts, trim, lowered, bigger wheels, darn.. a real sport package.

I think it looks pretty good and adds a fair bit of aggression but I think I would have preferred the hood vents done in carbon fiber to break up all the blue on the hood as well.

Didn't see much of a difference at first glance, but after staring at it for a while I can see a few subtle changes like the more pointed front air intakes and different headlight unit. but this is most likely going to remain just a rendering.

I actually prefer the front air intakes from this rendering compared to what the E-Pace comes with. It looks sportier and not as beefy, but changes like that from the aftermarket would cost too much and not worth it for aesthetics alone.

think we'll get an S model with around 300hp similar to the F-Pace? the E-Pace certainly has the looks for it with a few tweaks, an S model would prove to be popular with buyers.

Jaguar wouldn't want to compete against their own lineup, and a S badged E-Pace could do just that; a cheaper model with similar hp.

but its a strategy that has worked for BMW and Mercedes the only either model benefits is on things only it can do which in the F-Pace's case it will be space

if this was so bad then it would be copied and repeated by so many car makers, even Lexus did something similar.

Up to 400HP would be great for something like this along with torque that gets up to a similar number and these days car makers have been getting better with torque, JLR is one of them and I don't think those power numbers are too much to ask for.

That seems a bit high when the F-Pace's supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 can only produce 380-hp. Maybe well see something in the low 300s?

When this is a performance model, building the internals is the way to go and what will get them to that point. 400 is doable and we haven't seen a performance version of the F-Type as yet, so we have to keep that in mind.

Wouldn't mind seeing a performance E-Pace or a more powerful one, a special edition perhaps. Did Jaguar do that for the XE and F-Pace?

XE has an S model and then that limited Project 8 and seeing how far this E-Pace will reach then we should see something very similar happen with the E-Pace. They have the rest of JLR to share this stuff with so it makes this more possible.

Currently there's only one engine for the E-Pace so I wouldn't mind seeing a S version with a more powerful engine. Any idea what they could put in there?

The same 3.0 V6 380 PS Supercharged engine found in the XE S should work just as well in the E-Pace, the only difference is that here they might need to tune it for more power on the lower end.

I think they'd tune it to reduce both power and torque, wouldn't want to poach sales from their own cars if they have similar numbers. But if the same engine is used, there's no stopping owners from going the aftermarket route to bring it back up to the XE S' level. That engine has some very impressive torque numbers, no wonder it can sprint from 0-60 mph in just 7.9 seconds.
