As Jaguar introduces itself to the highly competitive CUV and SUV markets and experienced record breaking sales with the F-Pace, its easy to see why the E-Pace arrived so soon. Although JLR sales have been down worldwide recently, the E-Pace brings together high demand features in a smaller package that could reignite strong sales momentum. What the E-Pace delivers in performance is enhanced refinement and driving dynamics thanks to; aluminum chassis components, a torque balanced All Wheel Drive system, Active Driveline for optimized traction, All Surface Progress Control to tackle bad road conditions, two great powertrain options and configurable dynamics to personalize the entire experience.

JAGUAR RIDE AND HANDLING
The E-PACE chassis has been developed to deliver agile and refined on-road dynamics. Aluminum chassis components are used to improve suspension performance by increasing rigidity. To increase ride comfort, the E-PACE has a fully independent suspension system with a multi-link rear suspension design
ALL WHEEL DRIVE
For performance across a wide range of conditions, the All Wheel Drive (AWD) system intelligently controls torque distribution between front and rear axles. Drive torque is balanced across both axles to fully utilize the available traction from all four tires.
ACTIVE DRIVELINE
Standard on the P300 engine, Active Driveline provides increased agility by optimizing traction and providing rear-wheel drive handling characteristics. The system allows up to 100 percent of rear axle drive torque to be distributed to either rear wheel, according to available grip.
ALL SURFACE PROGRESS CONTROL
All Surface Progress Control (ASPC) helps give added confidence in slippery conditions. It's a low-speed cruise control that helps the E-PACE cope with low-traction situations, whatever the weather - allowing you to concentrate on steering.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
From power and sheer driving pleasure to fuel economy and refinement, there are two Ingenium engines available for the Jaguar E-PACE. Ensuring that you are always in the optimum gear, maximizing fuel efficiency and acceleration, the 9-speed Automatic Transmission in the E-PACE is highly responsive and smooth.
INGENIUM FAMILY
Our low-friction, all-aluminum Ingenium engines have stiff cylinder blocks and twin balancer shafts to ensure inherently low levels of vibration, for smooth day-to-day performance. All engines are equipped with Stop/Start technology and smart regenerative charging ‑ harvesting kinetic energy while braking to charge the battery ‑ for maximum economy, especially during city driving.
INGENIUM GAS ENGINE
Ingenium gas engines in the E-PACE utilize cutting‑edge innovations, such as the Continuous Inlet Variable Valve Lift system, to enhance every aspect of performance and fuel economy and to help reduce CO2 emissions.
CONFIGURABLE DYNAMICS
To enhance either refinement and comfort or the car's performance, the optional Configurable Dynamics function in the E‑PACE allows you to personalize throttle mapping, gearbox shift points, steering settings and suspension* to suit your driving needs.
ADAPTIVE DYNAMICS
The Adaptive Dynamics system delivers both precise dynamics and a supple ride by monitoring wheel position and body movements. Electronically controlled dampers adjust to optimize the suspension settings and provide the optimum balance between comfort, refinement and agility at all times.

For a tailored driving experience, JaguarDrive Control allows you to select Comfort, Eco, Dynamic or Rain / Ice / Snow - each subtly changing the steering and throttle mapping.

Technology
Anyone who has done their homework will know InControl isn't Jaguars strong point but won't discourage anyone content with the rest of the vehicle. All we can hope is that Jaguar learns from car makers that lead in the infotainment department. If you still decide to get the E-Pace, Touch Pro comes standard (still buggy as reported in the F-Pace) along Navigation Pro, Connect Pro Pack, Smartphone Pack and Head-Up Display as you move up the trims. Convenience comes in the form of Dynamic Volume Control, Power Sockets, ECO Driving Style Assistant and Bluetooth® Connectivity. Audiophiles should look no further than the First Edition that comes with a Meridian Sound System that actually gets great reviews.

Practicality
If you're like most buyers in this segment, practicality is likely near the top of your list and without a doubt, the E-Pace delivers. Activity Key free's you from the traditional key fob, Powered Gesture Tailgate for when your hands are full, up to 52.7 cubic ft of generous cargo capacity and Driver Assistive Features (Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Front/Rear Parking Aids, 360° Surround Camera, etc.) for safe and enjoyable driving. All of these features prove to be vital with the poor visibility, something no vehicle in this segment is immune to, shorter drivers can attest to this. Overall, the E-Pace is a good product that with the right refinements can be better over time.

ACTIVITY KEY
With the optional Activity Key, you can enjoy your favorite activities and keep your car key securely in the car. For extra convenience, you can strap the Activity Key to your wrist. The wristband is robust and fully waterproof, allowing you to take part in a range of activities. Simply touch your Activity Key on the tailgate to lock or unlock the car and deactivate or reactivate the conventional key fob.
POWERED GESTURE TAILGATE*
Powered gesture tailgate enables the driver to operate the tailgate from the curbside, without needing to physically touch either the vehicle or the key fob. Gently present your foot under one of the car's rear flanks and the tailgate opens or closes.
TAKE YOUR WORLD WITH YOU
Large items can easily be accommodated by a maximum loadspace width of up to 4.2 feet - making it easy for the E‑PACE to take a pushchair lying flat. With a cargo capacity of up to 52.7 cubic ft, the E-PACE can easily fit two medium sized suitcases and three 'cabin carry-on' sized suitcases.
STANDARD DRIVER ASSISTANCE FEATURES
The E‑PACE has been engineered to include a suite of features to make driving easier and more enjoyable.
EMERGENCY BRAKING
Should a potential collision be detected, the E-PACE gives an audible forward collision warning. Visual warnings follow. If the driver takes no action, the system applies the brakes to help reduce the severity of the possible impact. This system also includes pedestrian sensing.
LANE KEEP ASSIST
Senses when your vehicle is unintentionally drifting out of your lane and gently steers you back.
DRIVER CONDITION MONITOR
Detects if you're starting to feel drowsy and gives you an early warning when you need to take a break.
CRUISE CONTROL AND SPEED LIMITER
Cruise Control allows you to maintain the current speed of the vehicle without the need for continued use of the accelerator pedal - helping to reduce fatigue. The Speed Limiter allows you to pre-set a maximum specified speed that the vehicle will not exceed.
FRONT AND REAR PARKING AIDS
Makes maneuvering easier and safer - sensors in the front and rear bumpers are triggered when you select Reverse. As you park, the touchscreen display and audio feedback indicate how close you are to obstacles.
360° SURROUND CAMERA*
Provides a 360° exterior view via the touchscreen, helping with various maneuvers from parking by a curb to getting in and out of tight spaces and junctions.
DRIVER ASSISTANCE PACKAGES
ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL WITH QUEUE ASSIST
Keeps your vehicle a safe distance from the one in front. Should the car in front stop completely, your vehicle will come to a halt. Once the traffic moves, simply touch the accelerator and Adaptive Cruise Control will resume following the car in front.
HIGH-SPEED EMERGENCY BRAKING
Detects when a potential frontal collision with another vehicle may occur and displays a forward alert to warn the driver to brake. If the driver doesn't react, the car will deploy the brakes in order to reduce the severity of the possible impact. High-speed Emergency Braking is ready and active up to 99 MPH.
BLIND SPOT ASSIST
If your vehicle detects another car in your blind spot when you begin to change lanes, this system provides precisely calculated steering torque - guiding your car safely away from the approaching vehicle.
