The Jaguar E-Pace is going to debut on July 13th and don't worry, Jaguar will be live streaming the event on YouTube so we can all get to see it.

Weather testing is pretty standard with all new cars because it's going to be sold globally, where one market's geography and temperatures will drastically differ from the next. Better to be safe than sorry in this case, so Jaguar won't have to recall a bunch of E-Paces from one area later down the road.

from the looks of it, the E-Pace can handle sand, so long as you're not deep in the dunes, cold and icy roads, and some light off road driving.

Being a CUV I would definitely hope that it could handle all of that. My only concern is going to be snow though as I deal with quite the amount. Obviously other things like tires are going to make a world of a difference though.

I'm sure the E-Pace will handle winter driving just fine. It comes with all-wheel-drive, couple that with a nice set of winter tires and you're set. But that's assuming you drive safely on top of that.

What's the traction toolbox Jaguar is talking about when the E-Pace was drifting around the snow track?

Probably just a figure of speech or what they call the collection of traction assist devices throughout the vehicle. Tried google searching it and nothing came up so ultimately, that's what I would bank on.

I can see how the Rain/Ice/Snow mode would be part of that and in a way they are tools, tools that help you gain control and confidence in those situations, taking away some guess work.

Essentially just that. Traction control systems have gotten so great over the years, I'm sure this is going to be perfect for what the average person needs. I remember before when there was no traction control or even ABS in cars haha. Those were the days when you really needed to know how to drive.. throttle modulation was everything.

Wasn't driving when ABS was optional in cars, but I've been in a car where it's missing and pumping the brake is not something I want to try again. We've come very far in terms of car stability and safety, all thanks to these kinds of tests.

Closest I got to that experience was the option of turning traction control off which is still offered on a lot of cars today. ABS to me was always a norm, no option, just standard issue. Driving without traction control was fun, but no traction or abs must be a lot of fun. Which car did you not have ABS or Trac on?

Had a 78' Fire chicken back in the days and that thing was a hoot. A lot of friends now still have a bunch of old 70s and 80s cars and as fun as they are, when you get into situations because of crappy brakes... they get real sketchy lol.
