How to remove the backrest from the rear seats

Do you mean the headrest? I removed them the very first week I got my 19.
There is a release button on the side of the headrest. Just push on that and then pull up.
If you meant a 'backrest' I guess I am not sure what that means. There is an 'armrest', is that what you meant?
