Anyone notice gas fumes intermittently coming in through ac vents? Seems to happen more when tank is half full or less. Can't smell any fumes inside engine compartment so must be coming in from somewhere else. Seems to be getting more frequent. Didn't notice this until I had put around 2,000 mi on and now with 4,000 mi seems to be happening more. This will probably be one of those issues the service dept can't diagnose unless it's happening on the day I bring it in and as we all have experienced it will be behaving perfectly that particular day.
Any comments appreciated.

Thx

I'll take it up with the dealer when I have an interim oil change done in a month or so (or sooner if it gets worse). I've tried to pinpoint when it happens most and seems after a sustained run without stopping it seems to be more prevalent. My work commute is 18 miles each way which 10 miles is full on with no stops until my parking lot. If I sit and idle for a minute after arriving at work the fumes start to come in seemingly through the AC vents. Same scenario on my way home. I can't smell anything inside the engine bay so it may be pulling in from maybe a loose exhaust??? Google our issue and you'll find we're not the only ones experiencing this. It's not overpowering but certainly is a problem and shouldn't happen.

Maybe experiment with your E Pace and try to narrow down when you notice the fumes. It would be a great diagnostic tool if those of us with this complaint could advise our service depts when the issue occurs most often.
Thanks for checking in and look forward to any further reporting on your end.

Thx

fumes in cabin

thanks for the reply ,my issue seems to happen when i have started from warm and before moving will get fumes in cabin , i removed my cabin filter and it stunk of fumes , so if they say they can not find any issue ask to look and smell the pollen filter , as it should not have a smell of fumes on it , would be good if they find our issue when you take it in good luck .

Great info -- is the cabin filter easy to remove? I checked my I Guide and can't find where the cabin filter is located. Some car's filters are behind glove box which seems like a pretty daunting task.

Thx

The more the You Tube guy talked about what a PIA it is to remove I think I'll let the tech at Jag do that job. That evidence should be enough for them to look in the right place to find a leak. I'm probably a month or so away from my interim oil change so if you decide to take yours in earlier please let me know the verdict. Great info and much appreciated.

What is an "interim" oil change? How many miles do you have?

I'm trying to figure out when my first oil change is due. The manual says 21,000 miles. Sounds outrageous if true.

From what I understand Jag will send a notice a bit prior to the end of the first year of ownership directing you to schedule first maintenance service. I'm figuring I'll have around 12,000 miles at that time and no way am I going to drive that many miles without an oil change. So I'm going to pay on my own for an interim service around 6,000 miles. Dealer says it will be $175.00. I will still get the free annual maintenance when my year runs out.

Update --- Took the car to dealer week before last. Kept it a full week and both tech and service manager drove it home and tried to replicate the gas fumes entering cabin with no luck. Don't know if weather has anything to do with it but the day I dropped it off and the week it was at the dealer the weather had turned cold in our area. I picked it up this past Tuesday and I haven't noticed the smell yet. So a week at the dealer and all I got was an oil/filter change and tire rotation.
If anyone of you all are still experiencing the gas fumes issue and plan on a dealer visit please let us know if your dealer finds a fix.

Thx
