So an article that was recently posted by Forbes claims the new E-Pace may have difficulty nailing down buyers in the U.S. They think the pricing is a little too similar to that of the F-Pace and if someone has to choose between them, they are likely to go with the bigger model. Dave Sullivan, analyst at AutoPacific, said

The F-Pace is only $3,000 more. The F-pace has great looks on the street and a price that is very competitive. The E-Pace is priced like the new (Infiniti) QX50 but lacks its interior space. It's punching in the above price category.

I agree slightly but at the same time understand the fact that Jaguar is trying to build a brand which isn't easy. With that comes with establishing how the brand is valued. All Jaguar can do at this point is include more features. Not often are first generation models made to be a massive hit, they are more geared towards establishing a following and test the waters.

The E-Pace's size may be a bit small, but the pricing could go down a bit because this kind of sentiment can be damaging for a model. The other Jaguar car, F-Pace, seems to be doing very well and it's priced substantially more. That's because it had so much to offer and people were willing to pay that cost.

Jaguar needs to be careful not to oversaturate the market with too many SUV models. I have heard that they are already looking to develop another model that will sit above the F Pace. Its never good when you're own models are competing with one another for sales. I think depending on the E-Pace's reception, we may see some changes in its pricing. Or perhaps they will offer it with more standard kit on the base model.

Jaguar is trying to capitalize on the SUV and crossover market while it's still hot, but with the climbing gas prices they're better off coming out with a few hybrids and more EV.

I like the small size of the E-Pace but I think Jaguar rushed it out too soon as many reviewers noted a general "lack of polish" and rough ride at low speeds. Price is also problematic, as you can get a 1-year-old F-Pace "S" for $50k but the top-trim E-Pace will cost $60k.

I can't help but feel Jaguar has lost the first two of its "Grace...space...pace". The luxurious ride and interior of yore has been lost forever.

Its JLR sibling, however, is a complete opposite story.
